"I am very grateful to have been able to spend a week living and working amongst the landscape.
I took the opportunity to start experimentations for a new project, using pinhole photography to capture and absorb the landscape onto photo paper over extended periods. This has been the start of a new way of working for me. I am thankful to have had the time and space to test out these new ideas and processes within the tranquility of Xenia. Vanessa is a London-based photographic artist. Her work forms an ongoing, accumulative archive. She uses analogue photography to capture and reflect upon the intimacy of everyday life, exposing both the stillness and chaos of contemporary life.

She graduated with an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths in 2022 and a BA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts in 2016.

Recently Vanessa has curated The Fear of Low-Hanging Fruit at Generation & Display, London, in April 2024. Other projects include Her performance is taking place at the beginning and end of the world, The Art House Wakefield; I decided to give up rushing, Deptford X; Now I know, Daylight, Pilot Press.
