Testimonial
"Ode to Xenia!
Slowly the soul comes out to play,
Breathing softly like honey gently dripping from a spoon.
A breathless, soundless dance,
Their finger toes creep bright green along the forest floor.
Creeping calmly the sky is white quiet,
Full of the noise of nature.
Loud mud squelches smoothly,
Gum boots lift and fall/lift and fall inelegantly.
Time is dignified with delicate compassion,
The mild life is subtle and holy.
She finds a sacred space,
Held by these tall mossy witnesses
Below reality and high above it.
Slowly the soul comes out to play
Thank you to Anna and Michelle, my fellow artists,
And to Bianca, our generous and gracious host!"

About
Pamela Davidson, born in South Africa, is an architect and artist currently based in Israel. She earned architectural degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Cape Town, working on diverse projects, including public and residential buildings, hospitals, schools, stadiums, and heritage sites in South Africa and Israel. Passionate about art, she studied at the Lorenzo di Medici Institute in Florence and has pursued creativity throughout her life.
Pamela Davidson's latest series showcases her innovative approach to art-making, blending everyday rituals with abstract expression. The series features delicate works created on parchment paper, using coloured pencils and watercolours to render the feint impressions left by challah loaves baked for Shabbat. This process emphasizes diaphanous textures and subtle tonal shifts reminiscent of biological forms or abstract Rorschach patterns while subtly echoing the intricate linework and nuanced cartographic sensibilities of historical map-making.
Pamela Davidson has been an active participant in the Israeli art scene, showcasing her work in numerous group exhibitions and curatorial projects across Tel Aviv and Raanana from 2016 to the present. Her artistic journey includes in a notable solo exhibition in Tel Aviv in 2023, highlighting her growing prominence in the contemporary art landscape.
