Testimonial
"This has been the MOST inspiring, peaceful, luxurious residency, and I have been hungrily using my time here to experiment, create and develop. The access to nature, (especially the exquisite woods opposite my live/work space) has had a profound effect on my practice and enabled me to create a new performative series in the Xenia landscape; just me, my iPhone, tripod and a remote shutter.
The new photographs are part of my MRS ROE project, and alongside the photography, I have been experimenting with electroforming (copper plating) pressed plants, AND I have been able to complete the embroidery of a new costume for MRS ROE to use in a series of performances later this year.
THANK YOU Bianca, Jaye, Lucy and all the other people that have been so kind. XENIA is everything I had hoped for and more. I am very, VERY lucky and incredibly grateful for this precious, peaceful, immersive gift of time.
Please know It will stay with me forever x"

About
Kerry Lemon creates diverse artworks for the public realm, gallery environment and luxury retail. She has an inquisitive approach to material and selects from a diverse palette for each project to connect with the site and audience.
Her portfolio ranges from monumental sculpture to painting, film, photography and performance. Clients include architects, developers, local authorities, galleries and luxury brands including Virgin, Sony Japan, MAC, LA Times and SPACE NK China.
She is driven by scientific collaboration and is a certified B-Corporation committed to a regenerative approach to sustainability. Her research-led artworks respond to local ecologies and aim to connect audiences to the natural world so that they can examine their own role within contemporary society and the environment.
In addition, Kerry mentors an emerging femxle artist local to every public art commission she undertakes. This leaves a skills legacy by supporting womxn to develop the skills required to create monumental public sculpture. Her commitment to womxn and focus on the commonality of womxn and flora is an important and recurrent thread in her narrative feminist practice.
WOMXN/FEMXLE - The 'X' is inclusive of trans and nonbinary women
