"My 3 weeks at Xenia was truly magical. The estate was absolutely beautiful, inspiring and full of life. I felt endlessly inspired and made more work in 3 weeks than I’d normally make in 3 months! I will be forever grateful to Bianca for being so generous and for the amazing place she has cultivated for artists. The space and time to be alone without the distractions of everyday London life was life-changing. I walked each day, taking different routes around the grounds, melting into the landscape and tuning back into myself. I met other amazing artists, shared so many ideas and had so much fun. It was gentle as well as powerful and Xenia made me feel so held and expansive. I made 2 ceramic works, 2 videos and wrote and recorded text and soundscapes abundantly. The space allowed so many ideas that had been brewing within me to materialise with precision. It also allowed for ideas to start to germinate that I’m still birthing now. Upon arriving back in London I dreamt of Xenia every night for 2 weeks. I will treasure that time forever. Thank you, Xenia!"

About
Alicia Radage is a multidisciplinary artist who works through sculpture, performance, video, painting, text and sound. Her practice is activated through intuiting forms of interspecies communication.
A core concern is remembering a fluency in spiritual connection to the more than human by reclaiming and foregrounding, within a feminist framework, intuition and emotionality as potent creative tools, historically disregarded within patriarchal structures. She has shown her work internationally and has been supported by Arts Council England, The British Council and Shape Arts.
Notable shows and performances include Pictorum Gallery (UK), Whitstable Biennale (UK), GIANT Gallery (Bournemouth, UK), Venice International Performance Art Week (IT), MAMBO (Bogota, CO), San Mei Gallery (London, UK), Meno Parkas Gallery (LT) and Parlour Gallery (London, UK). Alicia graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2011 with a Distinction in MA in Advanced Theatre Practice.
